Paradise-Huntington Beach

Before we start, go ahead get a good cup of coffee, a glass of wine or whatever it takes to centre your thoughts.  This is a conversation between you and me.

A conservative, eclectic spot of paradise, people, bikes, more people, more bikes, sand, shops and surf (oh and not to forget a Starbuck’s on the corner).  Right now your thoughts have instantly taken you to a place in your memory.  It may be that you’ve experienced something similar.  Have another drink and let me introduce you to my experience.

The beaches are not white like the panhandle of Florida, rocky like the beaches in the northwest or full of shells like the beaches along the Atlantic.  Do you remember when Truman (Jim Carey) was so focused on going to Fiji?  It’s not like that either.  The beaches are wide and hot.  Running across the sand saying, “hot, hot, it’s hot” will not do you any good.  You won’t make it.  You’ll try but you will fail. Conversation w/Monique in Sydney

Monique said she had never considered the existence of God.

Willy is a field engineer that traveled to Sydney with me.  He and I had talked about not telling Kevin that we were going to be in Sydney, its not that we don’t like him.  He is really a good friend.  But Kevin is one of those guys that if you are going to get in trouble, it will be with him.  So by telepathy Kevin found out that we were on our way to his beautiful city.  Before the conversation ended Kevin said, “You guys want to go to a party?  There’ll be karaoke.” Read the rest of this entry »
